华中科技大学博士学位论文本文对XCDM进行了形式化的定义,较深入地探讨了关系模型、面向对象模型及文件系统中半结构化或非结构化数据到XCDM的映射技术,为解决异构数据源集成系统中数据的同一化奠定了有益的理论基础.查询处理的实现是异构数据源集成的难点,通常的做法有两种:一是用包装器实现对数据源的查询进行封装,将查询任务全部交给查询处理器,这种方法的缺点是包装器的设计很复杂。另一种是仅向各数据源发送它们能完成的查询,这种方法容易造成信息的丢失或产生大量的无效元组。对查询能力较弱的数据源(如半结构化数据)很难找到一种有效的查询语言。
