前言 棉花是重要的工业原料。尽管人造纤维的生产量和消费量在 不断增长,世界棉花消费量仍一直呈增长趋势。50年代以来,每10 年世界棉花消费量约增长100万包(21万吨),年均增长约 1。1984年以来增长速度加快,1987～1989年均为1844万 吨,为1983年1496万吨的123 ,年均增长约5 .据联合国粮农组织统计(1987年),世界人均纤维年消费量为 7公斤,其中棉花约为3公斤。发达国家二项相应为17公斤 和7公斤左右,发展中国家约为5公斤和3公斤。
